Stannah Stairlifts named as a Superbrand
On 23 July 2008 Stannah Stairlifts, the world’s leading stairlift manufacturer, was announced as one of the UK’s leading brands in the Superbrands 2008 list.
The announcement follows a robust selection process administered by The Centre for Brand Analysis (TCBA) on behalf of the Superbrands organisation. TCBA tapped into the views of a voluntary council of experts and over 1500 consumers.
Stannah Stairlifts were ranked 488 out of 500 overall, but even more significantly, the data captured from the over 55’s category showed that over a quarter voted Stannah Stairlifts a Superbrand resulting in 263rd place within this age group.
This result is even further enhanced by the fact that Stannah Stairlifts is the only and first company of its industry ever included in this year’s Superbrands.
Superbrands is a unique initiative from the Superbrands Organisation, the global branding arbiters. Superbrands is in its twelfth year and has become a key annual barometer on the performance of brands across a wide variety of sectors. Stannah Stairlifts is renowned for its customer care and this is extended to a concern for everyone over 55. The brand actively campaigns on behalf of the majority age group, this year supporting Help the Aged’s National Falls Awareness day. The annual campaign encourages councils around the UK to improve problem paving and identify trouble spots that may cause injury to older people who are more likely to lose their footing and fall over.
One of Stannah Stairlifts own campaign’s is the Think Again Fund, where a pot of money is put aside to help anyone over 50 achieve a lifelong goal or dream within the UK. The Fund was set up in response to a survey that showed only 13% of over 50s felt they were achieving their life goals and a staggering 62% of older people living in Britain regret not having pursued their dreams in their younger years.
