Stannah prides itself on being a family company with the welfare of its employees at its core. It is committed to supporting them with a range of industry leading working practices.

Policies are in place to address this and to ensure that Stannah complies with statutory requirements and legislation and where possible, the company goes beyond that with enhanced benefits.

Jon Stannah, Group Managing Director, is keen to point out that employees are at the core of the business, “We believe that working with our employees in a family friendly and respectful way helps to unlock their potential which isn’t just good for them but good for us as company too.”

Employee benefits include flexible working , a generous pension contribution matching scheme, a cash back plan to help with costs of a wide range of health and well-being treatments, additional holiday to mark long service milestones and a discount scheme with a large number of online and high street national retailers.

These benefits are in addition to a range of family friendly policies which support IVF, surrogacy, adoption (both UK and overseas) and parental leave .

From 1st October 2019 Stannah has introduced an enhanced scheme for maternity and paternity pay. The Company will pay 100% of basic salary for the first 16 weeks of maternity leave, a significant uplift to the statutory requirement to pay 90% for the first six weeks, followed by the statutory weekly amount set by the government for the following 33 weeks. For paternity leave, 100% of basic salary will be paid for the first week taken.

Lois Caplin, Head of HR is delighted with the new offering, “Welcoming a new child into a family is a joyous time and brings financial, emotional and logistical considerations. We wanted to significantly enhance our package to demonstrate how much we value our staff and better support them through those all-important first months.”
