Homelift Installation Process
Upgrading your home with a compact home lift should feel straightforward — and it can be. With Uplifts by Stannah, you’ll work with a Stannah Accredited Distributor who guides you from your first questions to installation day, so you can move between floors comfortably and confidently.

What to expect in the Stannah Uplifts process
Step 1: Start with a call or brochure request
Tell us a bit about your home, your mobility needs, and what you want your homelift to help you do (everyday trips upstairs, carrying laundry, wheelchair access, and more). We’ll answer your initial questions and, when you’re ready, schedule a free in‑home consultation.

Step 2: Free in‑home consultation and recommendations
A Stannah‑certified advisor visits your home to:
- Talk through where you’d like the lift to travel between floors
- Check clearances and key measurements (including ceiling height)
- Explain model options and configurations (such as single-door or pass‑through layouts)
- Review any preparation that may be needed before installation
After the visit, you’ll receive a detailed, no‑obligation quote so you can review your options at your own pace.
Step 3: Site survey, preparation, and installation
Once you decide to move forward, your distributor coordinates the next steps, which may include:
- Confirming the final layout and placement
- Coordinating any minor prep work (for example, creating the floor opening the lift travels through)
- Discussing permits or inspections that may be required in your area
When your home is ready, certified Uplifts technicians install the unit — typically in 1–2 days.

Step 4: Walkthrough, testing, and getting comfortable
After installation, your technician will:
- Test the elevator and safety systems
- Show you how the controls work and how to use the lift safely
- Answer questions and make sure you feel confident before they leave
