Stannah Sadler stairlift
The Stannah Sadler stairlift is effortless and simple in design, with the best engineering
- Perfect for those with limited movement in knees and hips
- Slim stairlift profile makes it ideal for narrower staircases
- Tilted seat for easier entry and exit
- Immobiliser seatbelt prevents use until you are safely seated
- Available in different heights to suit both taller and shorter people
Designed specifically for people with limited flexibility, the Stannah Sadler stairlift is a totally different concept in stairlift design
The Sadler offers a new alternative to traditional and perch-style stairlifts, helping you maintain a more upright posture at the same time as taking much of your weight through the seat, minimising the weight supported by your legs.
The slim design is also a great alternative for homes where the staircase is too narrow to accommodate a traditional stairlift.
The elegant Stannah Sadler is crafted for choice and ease-of-use in every way, with the chair folding away for a compact footprint allowing other people to continue to use the stairs. It’s this level of thought and care that ensures that Sadler is the natural choice.

Helpful tilted seat
The Sadler’s innovative saddle-style seat lowers and raises with the user and together with its elevated position makes entry and exit easier and more convenient. Unlike a traditional perch the seat takes the user’s weight rather than their legs making the ride more comfortable.

Effortless arm-to-footrest link
Folding the arms will automatically fold the footrest, ensuring users do not have to bend to fold their stairlift at the top or bottom of the stairs. This provides additional peace of mind to those who have stiff knees or hips and find leaning down difficult.

Pressure sensitive safety edges
Sensors automatically detect any obstruction on your stairs, bringing your Sadler stairlift to an immediate stop.

Immobiliser seatbelt
Your retractable, secure seat belt fastens with one hand, so it is easy on arthritic hands. The Sadler stairlift will not operate unless your seatbelt is fastened, ensuring your safety while the stairlift is in use.

Simple, intuitive controls
Our simple, intuitive controls have been designed to suit all, and are ideal for those with limited dexterity, or medical conditions that affect flexibility. Wall controls allow you to summon your Sadler stairlift from another floor, or perhaps send it up or down to someone else who wants to use it.

Elevated seating position
The higher seated position on the Sadler stairlift is ideal for those who have limited flexion in their knees or hips. It also helps on narrower staircases, especially for taller people who have a larger range of motion.

When will my stairlift be ready for installation?
Throughout our manufacturing process, we have a range of quality and safety checks which involves testing every single stairlift carriage before it leaves our factory to ensure our stairlifts meet our stringent quality criteria.
Our current installation timescales are:
Siena stairlift with no turns - 10 working days from order date
Starla stairlift with no turns - 10 working days from order date on the following upholstery options:
Red, stone and green woven. Beige and brown faux leather. Fully upholstered cocoa and oatmeal.
Estimated installation time from order date on all other Starla upholstery options - 10 - 14 working days
Siena and Starla stairlifts with 1 or 2 turns
Due to the individual nature of a staircase with one or two turns, our curved rails are individually designed and handmade by our skilled craftsmen to ensure the best possible fit on your stairs. It takes around 4 weeks to manufacture our curved rails, and just a few hours for our engineers to install it at your home.
Our surveyor will be able to give you an estimated installation time when he visits during the survey appointment.

Chairlift or stairlift. What’s the difference?
Sometimes stairlifts are referred to as chairlifts. For most people, a chairlift would be something associated with a ski resort or possibly an amusement park. Sometimes lifts designed to carry wheelchairs are also referred to as chair lifts. However, because a stairlift is essentially a motorised chair that travels up and down the stairs on a rail, you could be forgiven for using this terminology when talking about a stairlift.
