Starla Key features
From the simple controls at your fingertips to reliable operation and a flexible and compact design, we have done all the hard work so you don’t have to. Just settle into the comfortable seat and sit back, as you travel up or down your stairs with ease.

Powered swivel seat for easier exit
All our seats come with either a manual or power swivel option that allows you to swivel your seat at the top of the stairs to enable you to get off facing the landing and get back onto the seat safely.

Footrest fold, designed for comfort
Bending down to lift the footrest is an unnecessary inconvenience, which is why the Starla comes with a footrest fold option for a worry-free experience. Choose between our manual and automatic options for ultimate convenience, saving you time and effort at the top or bottom of the stairs.

Easy to use seatbelt
To offer you even more security, we have specifically designed a seatbelt that can be easily fastened with one hand. For added safety, the stairlift won’t move unless the seatbelt is securely fastened.

Safety edges
In the event that something obstructs the stairlift, sensors on the edge of the carriage and footrest will automatically bring the stairlift to a safe stop.

Easy to use controls
Effortlessly ride the Starla using our simple, intuitive controls. Choose between a paddle or rudder style which work with the lightest of
touches, and can be operated using your hand, arm or wrist.

Wall controls
Ideal for when you need to summon your stairlift from another floor, or perhaps send it up or down to someone else who wants to use it.

Your stairlift, your style
You can truly make your stairlift unique by selecting one of our many upholstery options or footrest carpets.

When will my stairlift be ready for installation?
Throughout our manufacturing process, we have a range of quality and safety checks which involves testing every single stairlift carriage before it leaves our factory to ensure our stairlifts meet our stringent quality criteria.
Our current installation timescales are:
Siena stairlift with no turns - 10 working days from order date
Starla stairlift with no turns - 10 working days from order date on the following upholstery options:
Red, stone and green woven. Beige and brown faux leather. Fully upholstered cocoa and oatmeal.
Estimated installation time from order date on all other Starla upholstery options - 10 - 14 working days
Siena and Starla stairlifts with 1 or 2 turns
Due to the individual nature of a staircase with one or two turns, our curved rails are individually designed and handmade by our skilled craftsmen to ensure the best possible fit on your stairs. It takes around 4 weeks to manufacture our curved rails, and just a few hours for our engineers to install it at your home.
Our surveyor will be able to give you an estimated installation time when he visits during the survey appointment.

Chairlift or stairlift. What’s the difference?
Sometimes stairlifts are referred to as chairlifts. For most people, a chairlift would be something associated with a ski resort or possibly an amusement park. Sometimes lifts designed to carry wheelchairs are also referred to as chair lifts. However, because a stairlift is essentially a motorised chair that travels up and down the stairs on a rail, you could be forgiven for using this terminology when talking about a stairlift.
